Welcome to
Visions of the Future: The Global Exhibition

In November 2022, young people’s work about their hopes and visions for the future appeared all over the world to coincide with World Children’s Day.

The exhibition drew on nearly 1000 drawings, poems, stories and images from children in 28 countries, across six continents shared with WriteUnite in 2021-2022. Enjoy!

Billboards, Bus Stops and Street Corners

Submissions from 32 young people were displayed on street corners, at bus stops and stations and at shopping malls in 10 cities across the globe to coincide with World Children’s Day on 20th November 2022.

The submissions were on display in: Bangkok, Buenos Aires, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai, Nairobi, Paris, Singapore, Sydney and Washington DC.

Virtual Art Gallery

Alongside these physical displays, we also curated a virtual gallery where anyone could take a digital tour, showcasing the artwork of over 100 young people.

Revised Digital Edition of the Visions of the Future Book

And that’s not all! If you would like to see all the submissions that we received, a brand-new and updated digital edition of the book (published in January 2022) is available free to download.

Why WriteUnite?

Young people have things to say and opinions to share about the world we live in, and they want us to listen and take their ideas seriously. WriteUnite brings these voices and opinions together through our themes, publishing young people’s work and sharing them with the world.

So far, we have published submissions from over 2700 students in 35 countries on six continents in three books. From Brazil and Cambodia to Iceland and Ethiopia, we have worked with parents, educators, community leaders and other non-profits to provide a creative outlet for children from 3-18 years old to share their thoughts and feelings about global issues and be part of something bigger.

We are a non-profit organisation that exists thanks to the generosity of donations and the sales of our books. All our money goes towards providing opportunities and resources to children to help them feel empowered and able to create a better future for themselves, their communities and the world.
